About St Peters

A white church with pointed arches and crenellations at the top, surrounded by green trees and under a clear blue sky.

Welcome to St Peters Anglican Church.

We are a community united by the good news of the risen Jesus. Whether you’re exploring Christianity, returning to church, or looking for a place to belong — you are warmly invited to join us.

As a cross-generational family, we seek to be prayerfully filled with Jesus’ joy and peace, growing together through discipling relationships.

As an evangelical Anglican church, our desire is to continue the rich heritage of gospel ministry in St Peters, Sydenham, and Tempe.

Our Mission & Vision

People gathered inside a church during a service, with stained glass windows, wooden beams, and red cushioned chairs.

Our prayer is from Romans 15:13:

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

As a church, we long to be a cross-generational missionary family, prayerfully filled with Jesus’ joy and peace, and overflowing with hope:

  • To the nations

  • To our neighbours

  • To the next generation

Doing life together.

Church isn’t just about Sundays — it’s about being a community all week long. At St Peters, we gather in Growth Groups, support families through crèche and Mums & Bubs, and encourage our teens at SALT Youth (in partnership with All Saints Petersham).

Wherever you’re at, there’s a place for you to belong.

Meet the team

St Peters is led by a ministry team who love Jesus and are passionate about helping people know him. Alongside them, many volunteers serve faithfully in areas like music, hospitality, kids, youth, and administration — all playing their part in building up our church family.

We’d love for you to get to know us, and we’d love to get to know you too.

Upcoming Events

Life at St Peters is more than Sundays. Throughout the year we host events where you can connect, grow, and invite others along. From community meals and family gatherings to courses that explore Christianity, there’s always something happening.

Check out what’s coming up — we’d love for you to join us.
