- since 1838 -
Thanks for taking the time to visit St Peters Anglican Church.
St Peters at St Peters is a small evangelical Anglican church in the suburb of St Peters – in the Inner West of Sydney – and it’s parish covers the suburbs of St Peters, Sydenham and Tempe.
We love our historic setting – Our building is early gothic revival in style and was built in 1838. It gives us a great connection with Sydney and Saints past as we meet where they have met for over 180 years.
We love our historic faith – Around 2000 years ago God did an amazing thing in allowing his Son to die on a cross and then he raised him from the dead three days later. God did this so we could know forgiveness, and so we could have hope to face life, and even death – and this changes everything still today. And we enjoy expressing these truths as an Anglican Church – with a richness and warmth informed by the history of Anglican practice in a way that is meaningful for today’s world.
We Love our Living Community – St Peters Anglican Church is a living community of people from all walks of life. As a Church we have been giving far more than just our name to our surrounding community since 1838. From our Sunday meetings to smaller groups meeting during the week, we hope we have something that enables everyone to be a part of our living community – a village in the city.
So why not come along a say hello – we’d love to meet you.

so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.'
