At St Peters Cooks River we are totally convinced that the hope our world needs is found in Jesus.
It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see that we live in an anxious and disconnected age. We are ourselves, and we see around us, the weary who need rest, the disconnected who need a family, the failures who need forgiveness, the anxious who need peace, the downcast who need joy, the wandering who need the way, the uncertain who need the truth, the lost and dying who need the life.
The Bible says that Jesus is the friend of sinners, the good shepherd, the suffering servant, the living Lord, the way, the truth, and the life. He is the hope of our world! As a church our desire is to overflow with this hope to the nations, our neighbours, and the next generation.
We love to welcome people from every generation and stage of life and to help them know the hope that Jesus gives and to overflow with that hope to others.
As a church family gathered here, we love to get to know each other’s stories, share in each other’s lives, and walk together through the joys and sorrows of everyday life. Along the way we seek to prayerfully bring God’s word the Bible to bear on our lives as he equips us with all that we need to follow Jesus.
We would love to get to know you better and help you take a first step into church life, maybe through the LIFE Course or a Belong Dinner.
Come and meet us any Sunday morning at 10am.
'We proclaim Jesus,
warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom,
so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.'
Colossians 1:28
